Shreveport, Louisiana – BRF announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Chicago-based software developer Omicron Technology Solutions. Omicron Technology Solutions will move to Shreveport to create more than 12 new jobs.

Omicron is a developer and provider of software as a service and serves three industries: transport and passenger management, identity and visitor management and student information software. Customers include local governments, education systems, and other service providers in the United States.

The first 15-20 positions will be created in Shreveport at Omicron in the areas of software development, customer relations and other service-related roles. As the company’s customer base grows, additional jobs are created in sales, management and customer service.
