Doug Bowser, president of Nintendo of America, recently took part in an interview with the Washington Post in which they asked him about the ongoing rumors about Switch Pro that have been circulating for some time. In the run-up to E3, Bloomberg even went that far publish a report who said they understand that an updated Switch model will be released sometime later this year. Of course, nothing of this was to be seen at E3.
In clear Nintendo fashion, where he has already said it in other interviews, Doug Bowser has repeated that Nintendo is always looking to the future for new technologies and how they can be applied to their hardware.
Here’s what Bowser had to say on the matter:
“We’re always looking for technology and how technology can improve the gaming experience. It’s not technology for technology’s sake ”.
“It’s about how technology, in particular, can improve a gaming experience. Then where do you apply this technology? Would you like to apply it to currently available hardware or platforms, or wait for the next platform? And then what is the right gaming experience with it? A multitude of factors play a role that we always keep in mind. “
