Representatives from more than 170 companies across the country are expected to flock to the Pitt State College of Technology next week to recruit students for internships and jobs.
The event is called “Company Days” and returns this year after a break in 2020.
on Tuesday, 107 companies will visit and their focus is on students in Construction management, civil engineering, 2-year electrical engineering, environmental and safety management, graphic and image technologies as well as architecture management and technology.
on Wednesday, 70 companies will be guests whose focus is on students in the fields of vehicle technology, diesel & heavy machinery, electronics technology, manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering and plastics technology.
The School of Construction is getting the most interest with 83 companies, and the school’s faculty says they cannot produce their graduates fast enough to meet demand.
The event will take place at the Kansas Technology Center at Ford and Rouse from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. both days and will be modified with COVID-19 containment strategies.
