Several technology programs will be held at the Groton Public Library at 52 Newtown Road in May.

Programming has become virtual and may be affected or canceled by COVID-19.

The Virtual Book-a-Tech program, with appointments open on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in May, is aimed at people who are having trouble setting up an email account, downloading eBooks, or using a smartphone or have tablets. Book a zoom or phone appointment with the technology librarian and receive personal help with any technology-related questions. Reserve a spot on grotonpl.org or email Emily Sheehan at esheehan@groton-ct.gov.

Attendees can learn more about movie and TV streaming services in “Cutting the Cord,” which will be set to open on May 19 at 3pm. This class explains what equipment is required to get started, what services are available, and whether “Cutting the Cord” is correct. Registration is required by calling (860) 441-6750 or visiting grotonpl.org. The zoom information will be emailed to the registered attendees prior to the meeting.
