NOV globally launches new ION+ PDC cutter technology

HOUSTON – ReedHycalog from NOVannounced the global launch of ION + polycrystalline diamond PDC cutting technology, which will stay sharper longer to increase ROP penetration rate in challenging formations.

The ION + cutters further enhance the successful ION platform and include a wide range of application-specific cutting qualities that include sophisticated diamond feeds, higher manufacturing pressures and new, non-planar interfaces. With thicker diamond tables with improved thermal stability, ION + cutters are designed to deliver superior drilling performance regardless of the challenge.
