Technology camp exposes New Orleans area kids to new skills

A three-day camp ended on Saturday with the aim of teaching children new skills in using technology. The IT Kids Camp also offers young people the opportunity to find out more about information technology in everyday life. Larry Lavallais, owner of True Care Technology, hosted the camp in Central City. It was free for anyone who wanted to take part. Lavallais said he plans to host more events through his nonprofit True Care Kids in the future.

Participants received hands-on training on how to use technology in their daily lives.
