Up to 1,500 businesses affected by ransomware attack, U.S. firm’s CEO says

WASHINGTON, July 5 (Reuters) – Between 800 and 1,500 companies have been affected by a ransomware attack on US information technology company Kaseya, the CEO told Reuters on Monday.

Fred Voccola, CEO of the Florida-based company, said it was difficult to gauge the exact impact of the attack as the hits were mostly on clients of Kaseya’s clients.
